Cherry Blossoms: An Original Rozashi Design by Margaret Kinsey
Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16, 2011
Cherry Blossoms, in Japanese, Sakura, are the most popular early spring images in Japanese Art.
The Cherry Blossoms in this Rozashi study are worked in the traditional threads designed especially for the ro. The colors are the traditional soft pinks. The threads are all silk, a mix of metallic and silk, and metallic. The background is a soft color representing the soft colors of spring. The stitches are ichi dan and ni dan straight, ni dan step, the line stitch, satin and ji zashi. The kit comes complete with all threads, ro attached to frame, a needle, instruction booklet, and nori paste.

Beginning Tatting Class: July 11, 18, & 25, 2011
There will be a beginning tatting class taught at Peddler's Way Quilt Co. in Washington,IL in July taught by Peggy McFeeters.

Bus Trip to Zionsville, IN - September 17, 2011
We will be traveling to Zionsville, IN for shopping, food, and fun. There are many interesting shops including Persnickety Stitchers, Village Yarn Shop, and Ganache Chocolatier. There will also be a shuttle service to both nearby Carmel, IN to Quilt Quarters and the Museum of Miniature Houses and to Indianpolis, IN for the 11th Annual Museum of Miniatures Show.

There will be water onboard but bring your own coffee if you need it. There will only be one rest break on our way there and one on the way back but there are restrooms on the bus! Meals are on your own before you board the bus.
