Specialty Counted Thread Category from 2011 Judged Show

Specialty Counted is defined as any embroidery produced on an evenweave fabric by counting threads in the foundation fabric and carrying each stitch over a definite number of threads. This category includes Hardanger, pulled thread work, blackwork, Dresden whitework, and any other stitching using a chart that is not basic counted cross stitch or needlepoint.
