Off I go...

To the Great American Desert. Should be fun! Tomorrow/later today should get us to Lubbock, TX, and thence to Almagardo, NM on the next day. Sights to see on the way include Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, and a little hole-in-the-wall called Trinity. Going to be out and about for a week or so, but I'm not leaving the U.S., so if I can get a call, it's on the plan, I just wouldn't bet on reception.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that we are taking my car (which cost about 400$ to maintain earlier today), there won't be a lot of room. This is unfortunate, because it means that I can most probably not pack my golf clubs. However, I am going to see if I can pack my pitching wedge and maybe the driver. Could be fun to tee off on the White Sands. Tape a name and phone number to the golfball, and see if anyone ever finds it. White ball, White Sands, it could be like a much screwier version of Where's Waldo. Parents could send their kids out looking for balls, particularly ones they don't like, because, it's a freakin desert!

Oh well, I should be sleeping now, later all.

Fun fun

Well, I haven't been all that chatty lately, but things have been busy nonetheless. I had tonsilitis last week. That kind of sucked. Kat ended up dragging me to Student Death. I didn't want to go, I figured they wanted to take my tonsils and my money, instead they just gave me some antibiotics, and all is well.

Been running around everywhere for the last 5 or 6 weeks. This upcoming weekend will be the first I get to spend in Rolla for a while. It's graduation weekend, so we need to figure out the food and party situation. I'm hoping for good weather, because a barbeque on the massive grill is in order.

I am done with all of my finals and hoping for the best.

This summer I plan on working, maybe finding another job and working that too, as well as brewing and metalworking. The next entry after this one will probably contain the recipe for the most recent cider attempt. I should also update my recipes page with the last two recipes, the most recent, and the regretable uber-sweet version. I normally wouldn't put that up there, but some people liked it.

I should also redo my website over the summer. The main page is pretty useless, as are some of the others. I need to cut down on the useless fluff. I should also beat movable type until it agrees with the rest of the site as to appearance. It was kind of onery when I tried to do it last time with the site scheme looking as it does now, but the site scheme should go simpler in the redesign.
