My computer is now officially pushing up daisies. Whilst swapping out power supplies (again), the heatsink fan came unbuckled from the motherboard during boot up. As the processor in my ex-machine is/was a Thunderbird Athlon, it overheated and combusted in less than 3 seconds. The magic blue smoke escaped, that computer is no more.
I check my email and do stuff on Matt's desktop, which he is nice enough to let me use.
This unfortunately means that several of my to-do list home programming projects are on hold until such time as I get the money together to start ordering parts for a new machine.
Once the weather gets warmer, Matt and I plan on building a workbench outside on the deck to do some cold metalworking and jewelry work on. I'm looking forward to getting a bit more done in that department, and I'm looking forward to doing some new design work there.
I like my job, and I work a fair amount, so that's taking up time as well. My tasks are many and varied, and that's just fine with me.
On other matters, I would like to state that for once that I am not dying whilst making a blog post.
Finally, it seems that I have lost about 30 lbs since starting my diet. I am a big fan of this, not only because I feel good, but it also gives me a sense of control over my weight that I enjoy. I'm about one pound shy of my original goal, and I plan on losing about another 30-35 after that. I seem to have stalled a little bit lately, but I'm not worried about it.
Goodnight.

YEEHAW! Way to go on the weight loss!
Planning on being back toward st. louis anytime soon?
I still have to schedule my housewarming party, although now it looks like it will be when it's actually warm!
Oh well...
work progresses on the house, so I guess it works.
Sucks about your computer :( David got a halfway decent laptop on ebay for a couple hundred bucks.
Miss you!
You forgot to mention your kitten. :-(
