Tomorrow I'll be carting all of my stuff from the apartment in Morton to the house in Pekin. I've got more stuff than last time I did this, but thankfully not a lot more stuff. This does not mean that there will be any shortage of backbreaking labor.
I will also be leaving this blog/site soon. Eric, who has done a great job of providing web hosting, email, and shell services for a long time has finally told us to get off his lawn (in the nicest way possible of course). More to the point, we can get such services elsewhere for free instead of clogging up his home connection, and ruining his ping in Team Fortress 2.
So this is a good thing. My current email address will be forwarded to my new one for the foreseeable future. If you don't have my email, ask me and I'll give you my new one. I've also got a server slice that I've got Apache2, etc running on, so as soon as I cook up some time I'll probably put a virtual webserver on that as a place to park my mad experiments (recipes, brewing and otherwise) and inane ramblings (such as what you are reading now). Eric will probably forward requests to here to my new webserver whenever I get it set up.
Finally, I'm moving tomorrow but I will not have 'net tomorrow. I'm not certain when I will have access to the interwebs in the new place, as I haven't been able to get a straight answer out of any of the providers as to how much it will cost. I can still check my email, etc from work after I knock off for the day, so I won't be completely out of touch, and of course, the phone still works.
TTFN,
Dave
