I've noticed some unfortunate declines in St. Louis recently. The biggest one was the closing of Taquiera Chihuahua. The taquiera was a great place. Good food.

You went in, and if you ordered your drink like a gringo, they would bring it out to you. And then go next door to get someone who spoke English to take the rest of your order. Alternatively, if it was after school, the owners' little daughter came out and did it. The food was outstanding. Really, really good, authentic Mexican food. Nopales (cactus) salad, ceviche, even al pastore and tripitas (tripe tacos). Great prices too. Last time I drove by it looked like it had a rental sign in the window, so I have to assume that it's gone.

There was something else I was going to put here, but now I can't remember what it is, which I suppose indicates exactly how important it is to me.

On to the gaming. I bought a new video card. I bought World of Warcraft. I now pay a monthly fee to game, and I'm fine with that. This is actually the first new game in years that I've played. New content seems to be added on a fairly regular basis, and I have enough friends playing the game to always have someone to interact with. Seems to be fun so far, we shall see how it goes.

Safe from the Devil Planetside, for now...

I'm currently safe from Planetside, mostly because I realize that I really don't have enough time to play games. Yesterday was merely a temporary lull in the long list of assignments, projects, programs, and tests.

I didn't work out again today. I went to class and almost got done integrating the group project for CS412. I was hoping to have it done by tonight, so that we can turn it in tomorrow, but it looks like I may still be able to achieve that. What I find most entertaining is that while it is due tomorrow, I just got an email from the prof. saying that people turning it in on time will receive 20% bonus credit. By which I think I can reasonably infer that everyone else is far more boned than I/we are.

I missed the presidential debate tonight, being in class and all. Adam also wanted me to Replay the thing, since he was going to be out of town. Luckily, I found someone showing it tomorrow, so I'm going to snag it then, perhaps watch it sometime over the weekend. From comments gathered at various sources, mostly Fark, I have compiled a preliminary
Presidential Debate Drinking Game:

Every time Bush repeats a questionable fact as the whole truth -drink.
Every time Kerry's answer to a problem is the same as Bush's -drink.
Every time someone says "september 11" -drink
Every time someone says "freedom" -drink
Every time the question is not actually answered -drink
Every time the question is answered in an obviously incorrect way -drink
Every time September 11 and Saddam Hussein are mentioned in the same sentence -drink 2x

As I watch the Replay, I might expand this list...

Yep, got back from Maryland Wed night. Good trip. Much was accomplished.

And.... WANG2k3.5 is now open for victims!
